Booklaunch »PARIS« by JUSTIN WINZ at DEICHTORHALLEN Hamburg

you can order the book at: art@justinwinz.net

SonjaRykiel for (a big swedish company) LA FOLIE IN PARIS

think big, think bigger, and then think even much bigger then that, to get close to a realistic idea of what happened in the GrandPalais last night. i think no one who wasn´t there should know about this. it´s just too mean to tell someone, as there is no chance to turn back time and actually go. And i think that was the genius PR idea behind that whole amazing parisian megalomania: no one talks about the event and the big swedish company will not have to deal with all those crazy people camping in front of their shops to be the first to get some pieces of SonjaRykiel to sell on ebay later..... by the way: No, what you see here is not the real Eiffeltower

American Detail auctioned at PIERRE BERGÉ in Paris

The number 9 of the 10 premiumeditions of my first book "American Detail" including two prints will be auctioned at Pierre Bergé & associés in Paris, as part of a selection Marcus Schaden of www.schaden.com did for Pierre Bergé, putting together what they describe in the cataloge as: "The Schaden collection at the Pierre Bergé & Associés auction presents new voices, remarkable objects and a selection of the finest german photobooks of the last ten years". I feel very thankful and honored.

VISION Magazine China, featuring the "17teen"series + article about my work

VISION Magazine, (Chinas very best independent magazine for art, fashion and culture) is featuring the beauty-series "17teen" that i did in collaboration with the hairstylist Hauke Krause on 8 pages and is publishing an article about my work with it. Unfortunately i´m not able to read what they wrote, it´s in chinese of course!!
At the moment we are working on a shoot for the jan/feb issue (Chinese new year issue)
If you ever get ahold of a copy of this magazine, buy it! even though it´s written in chinese, the magazine is very well done, interesting and beautiful (and heavy).

Guy Bourdin exhibition @ Bonmarche Paris

Sunday i went to the opening night of the excellent Guy Bourdin exhibition of unpublished Polaroids and films at the Bonmarche in Paris.
It´s very worth going and checking out this mastermind of modern fashionphotography.
The exhibition is very well done. The films are presented in mirror rooms and circled rooms which suits them perfectly and ads a new dimension to them (or even a few dimensions, in the mirrors). A nice catalog of the exhibited Polaroid work is for sale at Bonmarche(25€)

Polaroids at JeanPaul Gaultier for the "Paris book project"

with a little help from my friends i ended up on the balcony in the amazing Gaultier house in Rue Saint-Martin, trying to catch some of the fashionweek athmosphere to be maybe added to my selection of polaroid pictures about Paris, i´m intending to publish in my next book, following the success of the sold out "American Detail"-book
